Procedures for Admission Processing for All Candidates Admitted in the 2024/2025 Academic Session
This is to inform candidates who have applied to Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma that they should check their admission status online as follows:
- Check Admission Status: Click on “Check Admission” on the University portal (https://aaue.waeup.org) and proceed to accept the admission on the JAMB CAPS.
Note: You are required to upload all your WAEC/NECO results to the JAMB CAPS site if you have not already done so, as awaiting results will not be accepted.
- After Accepting Admission on JAMB CAPS: Regularly check “Check Admission” on the University portal (https://aaue.waeup.org) for your new student ID and password.
Please Note: Candidates who have not accepted their admission on the JAMB CAPS page will not have their Student ID and password created on the portal.
- Pay Acceptance Fee.
- Check Clearance Status.
- Pay school fees (either in full or first installment), hostel accommodation fees, and any other applicable fees.
- Request for Matriculation Number online after payment of school fees.
- Print out online generated Matriculation Number and other relevant documents.
- Register your courses.
Students are advised to collect their University receipts for acceptance, school fees, and hostel accommodation fees from the University faculty accountants attached to their Faculties.
(A) CHECK ADMISSION STATUS AND FIRST-TIME LOGIN
Please Note: Candidates who have not accepted their admission on the JAMB CAPS page will not have their Student ID and password created on the portal.
- Go to https://aaue.waeup.org and click “Check Admission.”
- Enter only your JAMB Registration Number and Last Name (Surname), then click “Submit.” If you have been offered admission and accepted it on JAMB CAPS, a new “username” and “password” will appear. Copy them, click “Login” (located at the top right), and enter your new “username” and “password” to begin your clearance process. (Please change your password after your first login.)
- Click “Download Admission Letter” to download or print your e-admission slip.
(B) ADMISSION STATUS PENDING
If admission status is pending, please complete your admission process by purchasing your admission form on the portal with this link: https://aaue.waeup.org/applicants
(C) CHECKING OF CLEARANCE STATUS:
Go to https://aaue.waeup.org, click “Login,” and enter your username and password (e.g., “username = E2015171”, “password = 234052”).
The top right of the page shows clearance status with the following messages:
- Clearance requested: Check back again if you have NOT been cleared by the Clearance Officer.
- Clearance started: The clearance officer has sent you a message about why you have not been cleared. To enter your correct details, click ‘My Data’, then ‘Clearance Data’, click ‘Edit’, enter your correct details, and click on ‘Save and request clearance’ at the bottom of the page.
- Cleared: If you have been cleared by the Clearance Officer, please proceed to pay your school fees.
(E) PAYMENT INSTRUCTION:
- Click the “My Data” tab at the top of the page and select “Payments.”
- Click on the "Add Online Payment Ticket" button.
- Under Category, select the appropriate payment item (i.e., acceptance fee or school fees).
(F) PAYMENT OPTIONS:
- Candidates with ATM-enabled Verve or MasterCard from any commercial bank:
- Click on the Payment_ID of the ticket created.
- Click on ‘CollegePAY’ at the top of your page. A confirmation page will appear for you to cross-check your payment details. If okay, click ‘Submit’ to proceed with payment through the Interswitch payment gateway. Select your card type (Verve or MasterCard), enter your card details, and click “Pay.” Note: Your CVV2 is the 3-digit number printed at the back of your card.
- Download and print your payment slip for the session, which you are to submit to the Bursar’s office for collection of the University’s receipt.
(G) ONLINE MATRICULATION NUMBER:
- After login as described above,
- Click ‘My Data’, then ‘Base Data’, and then ‘Get Matriculation Number’ (matriculation number will automatically be assigned) only after the payment of all stipulated fees, i.e., acceptance fee, school fees, etc.
- Click ‘Download matriculation number slip’ to download or print your matriculation slip.
(H) COURSE REGISTRATION:
- After logging in as described above, select the study course from the “My Data” tab at the top of the page.
- Click on the “Add course list” button.
- Click on the “Create course list now” button.
- Click on the “Edit course list” button to edit courses (use “Add course ticket” or “Remove selected tickets” buttons to add or remove courses that you might have added in error).
- You can edit courses until you have registered all your courses for the session.
- Then click on the “Register course list” button to submit your courses.
- Download and print your course registration slip, which you are to submit to your course adviser.
Students are advised to collect their University receipts for acceptance, tuition, and concessional fees from the University faculty accountants attached to their Faculties. Copies of all relevant credentials, online-generated matriculation number page, clearance/eligibility forms, and University receipts are to be submitted in a file to the Faculty Officers at the various Faculty offices.
